I had my PET CT today
Took the day off and went with Denise to Northbay in Fairfield to have my PET-CT Scan done.The scan was done at NorthBay in Fairfield in a mobile trailer parked out back. The PET technologist, Russ Suey was great and helped ease any anxiety I might have had with a great sense of humor. It seems we have the same taste in watches and music. The procedure was pretty relaxing, because he pipes in music from his iTunes library into the scan room. So you pick your music and he plays it for you while you’re being scanned. The previous patient had chosen Diana Krall, so I let it continue. Very nice to relax too.
Anyway the PET-CT scan is much like the MRI, but the scan combines two kinds of imaging for a more precise rendering of the tumor for later evaluation.
