Healing update
The healing is still painfully slow and I still can’t eat solid food, and it’s really starting to get annoying. I’m so sick of protein shakes, baby food and Ensure drinks! It just seems like the healing is moving at a snail’s pace and I know it has to do with whatever’s left of the Erbitux in my body. I can tell it’s still there because of how slow my fingernails and hair are growing. The mucus is still a real drag too. Occasionally I feel like my mouth is more tender than the previous day, but I’m still hopeful for a more speedy healing process soon.
I’m still hoping to return to a day or two at the office sometime next month, but if the healing doesn’t start kicking into high gear soon, that might even be doubtful. I know I sound grumpy, but I’m really not most of the time these days.
I have a business trip to Brussels, Belgium and Paris in mid June that Denise and I are stretching into a mini vacation. I’m really counting on eating (but maybe not tasting) real food by then. We’ll have to wait and see.
Progress sounds slow but good. I guess you may just have to stick with soft cheese and wine while in Europe. Darn.
Guyle, I’ve been reading your blogs. Probably much advice is being given to you. but here it goes. Many times I drink Aloe Juice for healing/prevention of cancer. It should heal your throat. I’ve tested it on Mina Rat as well. Cured it inside and out. The Rat never got Cancer like the others did. It died last week of old age.(trader Joes sells by the gallon)
To give advice well I hate it. Take the advice if you want. You’ll never have to mention it to me.
